Katie's Birthday Celebration!

So, just a little extra on Katie's Birthday. It really was just so busy the last two weeks. Katie chose to have an early birthday present and got her American Girl doll in July. However, not wanting her to be empty handed on the morning of her birthday I finally finished sewing her "Easter Dress" from two Easter's ago. Hey, at least she had a surprise.
Mike and I took her out to dinner for her eighth birthday all by herself. We decided for each of them we would have a special dinner to celebrate the special landmark in their lives and answer any questions about life they have. She picked Oregano's for the Skookie alone. It was fun and she looked like she felt like a princess for the day.

Katie wanted a silly face with me. She admired mine after she checked the camera. :)

She wanted the cake celebration with Grandma and Grandpa. Her big wish for her cake this year was that she got to decorate it. I mixed up 5-6 colors and put them in bags with different tips and she went to town. She had a blast. It was truly fun watching her have so much fun. She even watched Grandpa shoot frosting in his mouth and then helped herself and Christian do the same. Examples are golden and it was truly hilarious!

Another Happy Birthday to Katie! What a week!

I'm so proud of Katie and her clean room! That's awesome. It's definitely time for her to come over again and teach, I mean, play with Brinley. And yes, you can keep and use those pictures!
